This is the Roman Square spiral. This pendant represents the symbol of spiritual balance, one of the oldest symbols linked to Celtic art. With its shiny Luster de Fer enamel, it can be worn by a man or a woman. Its ceramic material brings authenticity to the message.

You too can add an artisanal touch to your jewelry box. Here I offer you an original creation in the form of a ceramic pendant.

Each piece is unique, I make them by hand in my A tout bolée workshop, and I am committed to guaranteeing you both creativity and careful finishing. You can find the details of the cord below.

All the pendants that I offer for sale are unique pieces. Some may look similar but all are different. Do you have an idea in mind? For example, a family ring to print on clay to create a new piece of jewelry? A Triskell print or regional pattern? A leaf or lace print? Another customization?

  • When I create jewelry, I fly into models that come straight from my imagination. Creations in their pure state, these pendants are born from my hands with raw material, raw clay.

I shape, I print a lace, a terracotta stamp, a wooden printing roller, a texture that I find interesting.

Once the shape is defined and created, I insert a sort of small jumper made of Nickel-Chrome wire which will resist high temperature firing in the potter's kiln. This ring will be used to mount the pendant.

And then comes the drying time, quite short for a small piece like this.

    First cooking at 980°C

And comes the enamelling: there I pamper my creativity by imagining the pendant in its final color. Which is not necessarily that of the enamel that I apply with a brush! I can definitely choose a glaze that is red when raw and which will turn blue and green when cooked.

It's all about ceramic chemistry. The combinations of enamel raw materials are endless and so are the color combinations.

For these pendants I used a bead tree to be able to enamele on both sides. And the result is great.

This bead tree is made up of 2 refractory brick uprights, and 6 Khantal wires to withstand a temperature of 1200¨C for 10 hours. And I assure you, it takes a long time to cook like this.

Remove from oven after complete cooling. And there, sometimes... a few surprises...!
